The Lotus Evora S is the flagship of the current Lotus car range. This highly acclaimed car combines the agility of a finely balanced sports model with the instinctive responsiveness of a thoroughbred Lotus. The Evora was launched at the British International Motor Show in July 2008 and production began a year later in 2009.
Vanguards - Ford Granada Mk2 (Series 1) 2.8i GL, Leicestershire Police 1:43 (VA12408)
The Mk2 Granada was, deservedly, the most common police motorway patrol car of its era. Ford constructed ‘police spec’ Granadas in batches on their normal production lines which made these powerful, spacious and fine handling cars unbeatable value.
The Leicestershire Police Granada modelled here featured these standard police modifications including; sports suspension, bigger brakes, anti-roll bars, roof mounted spotlights (which could be swivelled to light an incident) and a modified wiring harness for the radio.

In 1970 Ford had acquired a controlling interest in Italian coachbuilder Ghia and replaced, in spirit at least, the 1300E Mk1 with the even more opulent Escort Mk2 Ghia, which was available with either 1,300cc or 1,600cc engines. Ghia models featured a sumptuous velour interior with wooden door-cappings and front seat headrests, plus distinctive square headlights, steel sports-wheels and an elegant front wing-mounted Ghia crest.
The car modelled, HMR 490N, has recently been treated to a full restoration in the caring hands of owner Mark Ratcliffe of Wiltshire, who bought the car from his parents in August 1986.
