NEW CARS ANNOUNCED
FLY have announced two new racing trucks and another Lotus 78. Starting with the trucks, a Mercedes Ateco and another MAN TR1400 will be released in February, adding to the choices available for truck racing fans. The MAN looks pretty good in its Castrol colours, the Mercedes doesn't have so many variationa available so this new truck will be welcome.
The Lotus 78 JPS announced by FLY has caused us a little confusion, see News Roundup to find out why. The new car is designated as the car driven by Mario Andretti at the US GP-West.
LE MANS MINIATURES have added a nice pair of Porsche Carrera RSR cars in Martini livery to their release list. These cars raced at Le Mans in 1973 with different versions of the Martini striping, both are very attractive and of course are significant LM racers.
MSC who make a good range of rally cars have added a couple of new releases to be available soon. The De Tomaso Pantera will arrive with the ever-popular Jagermeister bright orange livery, the first slot release of Jagermeister on this type of car. The Porsche 959 will soon be available in Martini colours, which is a mythical scheme on thsi car but looks pretty good anyway. We have no objection to the 959 having Martini colours, but we do ask when the long-awaited Porsche 959 Rothmans car announced two years ago will eventually be released.
