In 2002, Slot.it, the company from Reggio Emilia already well known for its precise racing parts and universal chassis, issued its first complete model car, a reproduction of the Audi R8C, a prototype which raced in Le Mans in 1999. Historians dub the R8C by Slot.it as the model that marked a before and after in slot racing. Since its debut with a stunning 1-2-3 at the 24 hours of S.Celoni, through various revisions of chassis and bodywork that kept it up to the latest technology, this model has been at the forefront of slot car racing for 10 years. We at Slot.it have chosen to reissue this special model, from the original chassis and bodywork moulds of the first Audi R8C series, to celebrate the decennial of this historic racer.
