SCALEXTRIC DEMOLITION DERBY. New for 2013 is something completely different from SCALEXTRIC - a set containing two cars with removeable parts. Older slot fans will recall the Hotrods many years ago that had 360 guides and removeable bonnets. More than 30 years later the theme has been revived with a pair of USA Hotrod type cars in 1/32 scale, with most of the panels removeable. Designed to come apart in track smashes, the cars have to be assembled first, and we are looking forward to studying them in some detail very soon. The set is aimed at the younger market, the cars are called Metal Alien and White Skull, and the layout includes a crossover and sideswipes. More information when we get an update from SCALEXTRIC, in the meantime this is something else for the collectors to hunt down next year.
