MRE Slot News  NEW IN STOCK This week some new cars arrived from SRC and SCALEXTRIC. The Porsche 914/6 is one of the most popular SRC cars, so when one turns up in proper orange Jagermeister livery it gets an extra set of fans. It also makes a nice set with similar cars released in yellow and green. The first arrival of the Ferrari 312PB is very nice, the car Raced at Buenos Aires in 1972. This is in fact a bit of a hybrid, the bodyshell originated at Sloter, made its way to SRC, and sits on a chassis engineered by OSC. Nothing wrong with all that, the car has a very nice finish and we are looking forward to getting it on the test track. Our favourite is the Escort TC of Dave Brodie with the famous Run Baby Run motif on the front. This was one of Dave's giant-killers in the late 1960s, the other being a Lotus Elan in the same black with gold pinstripes, they looked so good no wonder JPS hijacked the livery ! Next we have the Aston Martin V12 Vantage that raced at Daytona, strangely in blue although it has Royal Purple sponsorship, but it does have the famous 007 racing number. Lastly we have another Limited Edition Lotus 49B in Gold Leaf livery, with Graham Hill wearing race # 1 and it does have proper Gold Leaf logos. Only 200 cars have been produced, and TEAM SLOT tell us that more than double that number were need to fill orders. As expected, deliveries were reduced to all shops and dealers and only early advance orders could be fairly sure of getting a car - that's right, just one each as there aren't enough to go round.
