MADISON MISSISSIPPI USA - Sorry it has taken so long to post last Thursday's Modified results, but I have been a little under the weather. We had seven entries, and the races were close, but we did have issues. The first issue was the white lane again. After multiple cars left the racing surface going down the straight in practice, it was decided we would skip the white lane entirely. I added each race 45 laps for the white lane here to keep the racing sequence equal. And the white lane strategy went out the window in the first rotation when a car on the green lane crashed going down the front straight. In total three cars left the slot while on the green lane at the same spot on the straight. Terry Jensen and I are going to the track Thursday morning to fix the track issues. Fingers crossed!

Just a note, Chuck and Don traded cars just before the start of this race. Don led after the first rotation with Danny 2nd, and Mike S 3rd. Round 3 saw a change with Chuck and Danny now on the same lap battling for 2nd and 3rd. At halfway Chuck assumed the lead with Danny and Don on the same lap in 2nd and 3rd. Chuck still led after 5 rotations but now Terry, Don, and Danny all were just 1 lap back. After 6 rotations Terry moved ahead with Chuck 2nd and Don 3rd. Positions remained the same until the last few laps of round 8 when Don slipped by Chuck by a few feet to claim 2nd and drop Chuck to 3rd.

Racing resumes this Thursday with the track officially opening at 4:00 and racing at 7:00 in the modified class.
