NEW IN STOCK One new car has arrived this week. TEAM SLOT managed to get a shipment out of Spain, and the Lancia Delta 4WD Stradale has arrived. Pretty car, with 4WD, and nice driver and interior detail. TMS-12901 Lancia Delta 4WD Stradale red DUE TO ARRIVE It just isn't possible to predict anything that will arrive, there are production delays in China, and shipping problems from our principal manufacturers. We have to let each week be a nice surprise from now on. NEW CARS ANNOUNCED If predicting new arrivals is difficult, announcing new models is impossible. We fully expect that the 2020 ranges will be very hard to fulfil, and no further new announcements are expected. Having said that, we are still awaiting confirmation of new SCALEAUTO models, the proposals from FLY are not yet finalised, and TEAM SLOT have got a couple of things planned for later in the year. NEWS ROUNDUP MORE RALLY VANS ? We have news that AVANT-SLOT and MARALIC have started another project together. The principal item is a FIAT 242 Van, as used with the Martini Lancia Rally Team. The plans include a set similar to the recent Opel van + trailer + Manta release, but this time for the Fiat Lancia team. It is intended that the van and trailer will also be available separately. No precise details have yet been given, unsurprising in the current situation, but we will keep you updated when we have more news. In the meantime, have a look at the pictures, and note how much bigger the Fiat van is than the Opel van in front. SSC RACING ALLOY WHEELS. The release of coloured alloy racing hubs by STAFFS SLOT CARS has proved very popular. So much, that two new designs are on the way to being released. The first type is drilled lightweight wheels, and the second type is the BBS multi-spoke type complete with large locking nut moulded into the centre. All the wheels are for 3/32 axles and will be available in five different anodised colours. There will be two sizes of each wheel : 15.8mm x 8.5mm, and 15.8mm x 10mm. We will be listing these as soon as we have the part numbers and prices, but we do know they will be available very soon. SSC drilled alloy hubs in 2 sizes and 5 colours, coming soon SSC BBS style alloy hubs, 2 sizes and 5 colours coming soon MRE WORKING HOURS. Like everyone else, we are currently a bit restricted in our working pattern. However, we are able to post out your orders on 1 DAY EACH WEEK so please be patient. We can accept orders at any time, but due to the business centre where the MRE HQ is located being in lockdown, we have only limited access. We are doing our best to work as reliably as possible while keeping within the "stay at home" guidelines, we hope you understand we are all under pressure at this time. To all of you - please be sensible and stay well. THE LAST WORD Last week we told you we had some projects on the MRE workbench, and pleased to say a little progress has been made. No - we won't show you pictures yet, we'll wait until they are finished, as any mistakes would be embarrassing ! We did ask you to tell us about your "stay at home" projects, and we are pleased to see that many of our customers are working on various cars. Sorry we haven't been able to contact everyone, but we have grabbed a few pictures from emails sent to us and on social media. Take a look at a few of the jobs currently in progress by our customers, and we know there are plenty of others as well : Cars are one thing, but with time available to many people we are sure there are many bigger projects such as tracks in progress as well. It may be building a completely new track, or refurbishing your current layout, or adding to your scenery and decoration. If you are doing the latter, we have plenty of ideas for you. Scenery involves a lot of trackside accessories, not just borders and barriers but signage, pit equipment, spectator and hospitality features, and media presence. New Announcements Big news from Spark, TopSpeed & TSM-Model today. So big we couldn't leave it until Monday to get it out to you. Spark have confirmed their range of 1:43 scale models from this year's Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 hour including the Craig Lowndes, Earl Bamber, Laurens Vanthoor Meguires sponsored Porsche 911 GT3 R and the Pole Position getting Porsche 911 GT3 R driven by Australia's Matt Campbell. These are sure to be extremely popular with the growing legion of Bathurst 12 Hour model collectors. We are currently speaking with Spark to confirm the range of 1:18 scale models that will be produced and hope to have this announcement out to you very soon. TSM-Model have two very interesting Blower Bentley's coming in 1:18 scale from their Collection d'Elegance range. First up is the beautiful green 8 Litre Blower from 1930 and it is being joined by the very interesting Brooklands 500 Miles Endurance race car from 1932. Last but certainly not least we have 5 new items from TopSpeed. Starting off we have the Gulf Oils inspired Ford GT from the 2019 LeMans 24 hour echoing the twin victories for the Gulf Ford GT40 from 1968 and 1969. Next up we have the latest car to be released in McLaren's 'Ultimate Series' and spiritual successor to the legendary McLaren F1 with it's three seater configuration and extreme performance, the McLaren Speedtail in it's launch configuration.
