CABA - SE INICIA " SEMINARIO COMPACTOS NORTEAMERICANOS EN ARGENTINA
CABA El próximo sábado 9 de septiembre comienza el seminario “Compactos norteamericanos en Argentina”.
Organizado por el Museo del Automóvil de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires y Autohistoria,se desarrollará a lo largo de cuatro clases donde se expondrán las características de cada modelo, sus cambios y evoluciones a lo largo de su vida productiva en el país.
Durante la cursada se tendrán en cuenta los siguientes ejes temáticos:
La aparición de los autos compactos en Estados Unidos en la década de 1950.
Su producción en el país en el marco del proceso de promoción industrial automotriz
Evolución de cada modelo, sus variantes y datos estadísticos.
La participación en el Turismo Carretera y otras categorías del automovilismo argentino.
Las clases se dictarán los días sábados de 11 a 13 h en la sede del Museo del Automóvil de Buenos Aires, Irigoyen 2265.
La actividad tiene un arancel de $7.000.
Al finalizar el curso, se entregarán diplomas de asistencia.

ESTEBAN CABALLARO GANADOR EN ADA (SPORT JK RAPTOR) , 2DO CORDONE 3RO DIEGO FABBRO
DEL VISO PILAR BSAS - Esteban Caballaro ganó la competencia semanal de Sport JK Raptor de la semana, en la rápida pista de Amigos del Automodelismo de esta ciudad. con un registro final de 260 vtas.
En la clasificación previa el velocista Diego Cordone había sido el más rápido con 3.424, mientras el inoxidable Pocho Martino - el que siempre está volviendo - fue 2do con 3.525. Fue tercero Alejandro Paván, que vuelve a los primeros lugares, al menos en la clasificación, con 3.454 demostrando que, en cualquier momento, se prende a la lucha por la punta.
Tras Caballaro arribaron al final de la carrera, en 2do lugar el poleman Cordone con 259.23, fue tercero en su retorno a los primeros planos Diego Fabbro (251,54). Felicitaciones al aplaudido y distinguido podio.
Fue 4to César Pocho Martino en una destacada actuación sumando 249.62 , 5to Fernando Piangatelli reafirmando sus condiciones conductivas y de mecánica con 247.61 vtas, 6to Gustavo Mellado que, por fin, tuvo una noche muy gratificante ya que el auto respondió a su fino manejo del que había dado suficientes pruebas. Cerró su carrera con 247.34 vtas. Clasificaron finalmente 7mo Norberto Rossi (245.59) , 8vo Dardo Mica (245), 9no Carlos Bellome (243.73) y cerrando el top ten, 10mo Gustavo Cassina con 239.11 giros.
11mo arribo Jorge Pugliese (239.06), 12do Daniel Magick Pose (233,14), 13ro Mathias Manescotto (222.28), 14to Alejandro Paván (151.99) y 14to Alberto Selinger (120.99) ambos con problemas mecánicos que los retrasaron.

PINELLAS PARK FLORIDA - NEWS FROM FAST EDDIES SLOT CAR & RACEWAY
Elaine & I hope that all of our racing family and friends survived the storm OK with minimal damage and everyone is alright.
Tonight we will be open with TEST & TUNE from 5:00PM - 9:30PM. Track time is only $15.00 for the entire time if you have your own car & controller.
Our Bracket Drag racing will start at 6:30PM. We also have all the JDS Championship plaques to pass out as well.
Many of you know Mike Moock had a mini stroke a few weeks back and has been in rehab for it at Palms of Pasadena. I am happy to post that he is finally back at home and working on recovery and strengthening so keep him in your thoughts still.
This past Monday we only had a few racer's so we ran a H.O. IROC race with everyone. Still a fun night with the guys.

It was Walter Buxbaum winning the pole with a fast lap of 3.973 while qualifying on orange.
Scott Fillingham won the classic 1962 Hot Wheels Gasser Corvette donated by Gary Johnson.

Wednesday 8/23
John Putnam won the classic 1964 Hot Rod magazine donated by Steve Clark and it was Ken Engart winning the light money in the first round with a .0083 reaction time.
With Steve Clark winning like the last 5 Bracket races there was a bounty for the past 3 weeks on him for whoever could beat him and win.
All through the night the racing was extremely close and some great reaction times were being thrown down.

Last night we had some difficulties to start the night with the Tri-Oval so we ran the first race 6.4 Breakout on the Hillclimb track instead.
It was young Josiah Ridings leading the way with his first win for him.

TORONTO CANADA - RESULTS AND IMAGE FROM SCALE RACING ENTER CENTER TORONTO
Last Wednesday, August 23 saw the ultimate round of the Scale Racing Center Toronto Group C/GT1 series.
Group C brought out a field of 16 racers. John Bassett was in no mood to take any prisoners - and clinched the final win of the season (108 laps) with Andre hot on his heels (108) and Roger close behind (106). Lap totals have been going up all season, with the top 11 racers completing 100 laps or more.
Thanks to all the participants for making this a fun and competitive series. We look forward to seeing everyone in September for the Fall LMP/GT1 series. Rules and schedule to follow shortly.

Pasaron 38 años de historia, 38 años abriendo caminos, 38 años siendo la categoría espectáculo de cupecitas.
Estamos muy orgullosos de que nuestra institución cumpla un año más de vida. Y muy agradecidos a todos los que fueron y son parte de esta gran historia: pilotos, navegantes, dirigentes, socios, seguidores; a toda la gran familia de la A.C. del T.C.
Cada día siendo más grandes, haciendo que la "Leyenda continúe...".
PILAR BSAS - PAVAN VOLVIÓ A GANAR EN BLINDADOS DE LA VIANINI/FIORANO 2DO MICA 3ROI PEÑAGARICANO
PILAR BSAS - Alejandro Paván, con un auto sumamente veloz, ganó la primera carrera del Torneo Clausura de los Blindados en la pista Vianini/Fiorano repitiendo el 1er puesto, por segunda vez en la semana. Congratulaciones. Ganó con 100.22 vtas siendo segundo Dardo Mica de muy buena faena (98.51) mientras que el tercer lugar del podio, fue para Horacio Peñagaricano (97.54) muy sólido en su andar. Felicitaciones al podio.
La clasificación previa después de la exhaustiva revisión reglamentaria por el Comisario Técnico y Deportivo Jorge Cappelletti que, dicho sea de paso cumplió años compartiendo un momento de torta y festejo con pilotos y familiares, fue normal y sin inconvenientes. También se agasajó al piloto local Jorge Pugliese que cumplió años en la semana. Felicitaciones a ambos.
El mejor registro en la "clasifica" fue para Dado Mica 24.73 (24.73), 2do Alejandro Paván con 24.13 y 3ero Horacio Peñagaricano con 24.12.
En cuanto a la carrera, el resultado final tras los tres pilotos del podio fue, en la divisional "A" (ganadores) en 4to lugar para el recientemente ascendido Norberto Sciaccaluga (95.74) , 5to Jorge Pugliese con 95,22, 6to Ricardo Perea (95.15) el misil de campana últimamente en baja , 7mo con 92.03 vtas arribó Luis Rubin con innumerables salidas de pista debido a problemas en su chasis producto de una salida de pista involuntaria y violenta , mientras que el 8vo puesto fue para el piloto periodista Ricardo Vega con un auto bien alineado y con mejoras pero , sin mucho entrenamiento ( 86.72).
En tanto en la divisional B (debutantes y no ganadores) fue 1ro Edgardo Nuñez, el piloto de Tigre ( 92,02 vtas) , 2do Oscar Romano con un auto de la organización (91,32) y 3ro Daniel García , el volante de General Pacheco con un auto que no lo acompañó en demasía logrando redondear 90.65 , conformando los tres un podio interesante.
Fue cuarto Hugo Reyes en su vuelta a la pista y a la categoría con 86.73 giros.
En 5to término finalizó la competencia el popular Pablo Ponce de León con problemas mecánicos - divorcio corona/piñon - que, si bien fueron solucionados en el transcurso de la carrera, le hicieron perder tiempo y vueltas ( 59.66).
Muy calificado parque de máquinas y pilotos, pese a algunas ausencias a último momento, y como siempre la organización impecable hicieron de esta velada un momento agradable y de sana competencia.

SE SUSPENDIO EXPO AUTO ARGENTINO PARA EL 24/09
Está suspendida la fecha prevista para el domingo 3 de septiembre. Se pasa al domingo 24 de septiembre, en el mismo lugar y mismo horario.
Nuevamente las condiciones climáticas previstas por los servicios de meteorología nos condicionan el normal desarrollo de Expo Auto Argentino. En virtud de ello, teniendo en cuenta el cuidado posible para el público, expositores, autojumblistas y organismos, tomamos esta decisión.
Los esperamos el 24 de septiembre próximo.

La próxima fecha será la última de Regularidad en este torneo.
Fue 4to Diego Comisario de andar sólido y parejo para redondear 196 giros, 5to Coco Calos el piloto periodista con 195.62, 6to Roberto Lancioni (195,33) y 7mo Marcelo Milone (194,96),
En el 8vo puesto encontramos la buena actuación del experimentado Trapo Milone con 194.85, 9no Daniel Hanna que concretó su actuación en 192.44 giros.
En 10mo lugar arribó "La Tia" con 191.78 mientras Diego Venezia consiguió girar en 188,40 oportunidades.
Muy interesante la penúltima fecha del campeonato de la especialidad que tendrá la semana entrante emotivas definiciones
