 NELSON INGLATERRA For those of you who are interested in joining us, feel free to come along to one of our race nights.

We have a senior night on a Tuesday evening and a Friday Family junior night,.

We have club cars and controllers available to borrow if you fancy coming along and giving it a try.

First month is free......

Once you have caught the bug for racing, here is a useful list of things you might need.

• Small pit box.

To carry all your cars and parts.

• Controller.

We do have club controllers available for use.

• Car.

Club cars available for new or guest members.

• Lighter fluid.

For cleaning tyres and braids.

• 3-in-one oil.

Softening tyres and lubricating moving parts.

• Clear nail varnish.

Clear coating front tyres to reduce drag.

• Roll of double sided tape (50mm wide).

To clean your tyres between races.

• Tape board.

To apply tyre tape to for cleaning tyres.

• Cleaning cloth.

Cleaning braids and tyres combined with fluid.

• Small scissors.

Cutting braids to length.

• Small screwdrivers. + & - head.

Removing body screws.

• Braid.

Roll of braid to replace worn out braid.

• Braid plates.

Always worth having spare one ready to swap over.

Para limpiar tus neumáticos entre carreras.

Para aplicar cinta adhesiva para llantas para limpiar llantas.

• Paño de limpieza.

Limpieza de trenzas y llantas combinado con fluido.

• Tijeras pequeñas.

Corte de trenzas a la medida.

Quitar tornillos del cuerpo.

BEDFORDSHIRE INGLATERRA - BARRY "BRUSHLESS" GILSEAN WINNER IN LUTON SLOT CAR CLUB

 A first at Manor Farm this past Wednesday during our 1/32 Libre evening as Barry 'Brushless' Gilzean claims a maiden victory with his constantly developing brushless sports car. Admittedly, the opposition was a raggle raggle selection of chassis and motors, but he did have some full blown ES32's accompanying him on track to keep him honest.

With no Genesis being raced as a separate class, we switched the format to best heat from four, then move up finals, which allowed some car changes to add a bit of variety. Indeed, Barry kicked off his night using a Classic 80's Saloon before switching to brushless power. Ray would have joined him early on with his Super Wasp powered Parma International 32, but a recalcitrant grub screw in one of the original aluminium hubs put paid to that.

Nick Thrower and Aston Offer completed the top three, and that was about that, except for a quick pint down the pub, thanks to an early finish.

As I write this on Sunday evening, I have no information on how the LSCC contingent faired at the North London S32 round, but check out the BSCRA website where the results should be available later.

Back to our regular racing next week when the open wheelers get a chance to strip gears and bounce off each other. Until then, stay safe.

PILAR BSAS - TERMINADOS LOS TRABAJOS DE MEJORAS, EN BREVE, REABRE LA PISTA VIANINI/FIORANO

PILAR BSAS - Buenas noticias llegan desde el Circuito Vianini/Fiorano,  sito en Pedro Lagrave 1100 en la Asociación Italiana de esta ciudad. El encargado de la pista nos comentó de la posibilidad de que,  en la primera mitad de Febrero - o antes - señaló Jorge Cappelletti, estén terminados los trabajos de armado de parte de la pista en particular un nuevo curvón que hará las delicias de los buenos pilotos que habitualmente compiten en este lugar.

Cappelletti en dialogo telefónico con AUTOSHOWSLOT nos adelantó ..." si bien las altas temperaturas de Enero nos desalentaron para iniciar los trabajos de carpintería que permitieron ampliar el curvón y puente del circuito actualizado en Febrero y Marzo del 2022, ya estamos en condiciones de adelantar que, en breve,  se pondrá en funcionamiento la pista para pruebas y ensayos con vistas a la temporada 2023. Si bien es prematuro asegurarlo,  pero teniendo en cuenta la cantidad de pilotos que están interesados en participar de los campeonatos, ya se están barajando las fechas y las categorías que este año regirán la actividad".

Recordamos que,  en la última semana de diciembre pasado se realizó una reunión de pilotos, la que contó con una concurrida asistencia que aunó criterios reglamentarios en lo técnico y lo deportivo,  con vistas a lo que seguramente será una exitosa temporada de automodelismo slot.

En pocos días más, ampliaremos esta información  con un amplio reportaje gráfico destinado a conocer en imagenes el nuevo trazado de la Vianini/Fiorano.

Rentals available all day $12/30 minutes. All day pass is $12 with your own car and controller.

Thursday nights will be race night. We will be racing 4" Nascar, Dirt Late Models and Grand Nationals. Planning on the first race night on Thursday Feb 2.

NELSON INGLATERRA -  1/24th BRM Mini racing results from Tuesday 24th Jan 2023 fron Pendle Scalextric Club

Results from Family Fridays Junior Meeting.

We had 18 racers ,11 juniors and 7 Parents took part. It was a great night and great fun.

Next meeting takes place on Friday 10th of February.

NEWS OF BRITISH SLOT CAR RACING ASSOCIATION

 

The 2023 Southern 32 season started at North London on Sunday, thanks to Bob, Steve and everybody for a great meeting. Will Stemman won the individuals , Graham Sampson won both Hawk Masters and Clubman, Paul Harwood and Aston Offer won the Le Mans 32 team race, Will Stemman and Chris Frost won the Hawk class. There'll be a full report on the web in the next few days.

The next round is at Roedale on 26th February

ZARAGOZA ESPAÑA - Señores, hemos comenzado la temporada en nuestro club con la primera prueba de F1 de NSR.

Resultado: ROTUNDO ÉXITO de participación, deportividad y camaradería. La verdad es que tener visitas con interés de participar en posibles eventos......chapeau!

Somos un club pequeño, pero con una calidad humana impresionante. Y no lo digo por autobombo pues la gente viene a participar hasta en los entrenamientos. Eso sí, invitamos a cerveza
