DAKAR 2016 : SEGUIMOS A ALBERT LLOVERA ETAPA POR ETAPA

Ayer tuvimos un día muy complicado en el Dakar Rally. Desde el primer día ya noté que el acelerador se enganchaba un poco y los frenos iban muy duros. Pero ayer, al cabo de unos 100km dejaron de funcionar y nos salimos recto, casi chocando contra un árbol. Entonces fue cuando nos pasó otro camión y nos dice que nuestra rueda trasera está ardiendo.Charly Gotlib y Mira saltaron a apagar el fuego y a cambiar la rueda con la ayuda del Team Boucou, los compañeros de Jordi Ginesta. Estuvimos 2 horas parados y luego volvimos a correr, pero al cabo de 45mins nos quedamos sin frenos. Entonces entendimos que el sistema de frenado se estaba quedando enganchado, muy poquito pero lo suficiente para calentar y quemar la rueda trasera, y luego para dejar todo el sistema inoperante. Tardamos 45mins en desconectar y resetear, y pudimos acabar la especial y llegar al bivuac muy muy tarde. Sin duda el esfuerzo pasa factura y ahora mismo estoy muy cansado pero con ganas de que nuestros técnicos puedan trabajar en el camión. Intentaré llamar al Tonino de Guidosimplex Srl para que nos ayude, y salir hoy aunque sea sin apenas dormir. El Tatra de Bonver Dakar Project es muy divertido de conducir, así que vamos a seguir. Hoy toca ir de Termas Rio Hondo a Jujuy, 613km de los cuales 334km de especial. No nos rendimos! ‪#‎Go521‬

Yesterday we had a very complicated day at the Dakar. From the first day I noticed that the throttle was blocking a bit and the brakes were very hard. But yesterday, after 100km, they stopped working and we went straight, nearly hitting a tree. Then another truck passed us and yelled to us that our rear tyre was on fire. Charly and Mira jumped off to extinguish the fire and change the tyre with the help of the Boucou Team, Jordi Ginesta's mates. It took 2 hours but we could start again, until 45 mins later we got no brakes anymore. We understood then that the bake system was blocking, so slightly but enough to heat and burn the rear tyre and later to put the whole system off. It took another 45mins to disconnect and reset the whole thing, but we could finish the special and get to the bivouac very very late. Without a doubt the effort is taking its toll and right now I'm exhausted but hoping that our mechanics can work on the truck. I'll try to call Tonino from Guidosimplex to ask for his help, and get on the road today even without much sleep. The Bonver Dakar Project Tatra is very fun to drive, so we want to keep racing. Today we should go from Termas Rio Hondo to Jujuy, 613km with 334km of special. We won't give up! #Go521
