MRE Slot

New cars have arrived from SCALEXTRIC and CARRERA and FLY. Thats where we will start, because FLY sent just one new car. The Brabham BT44 has been available before but this is a new version with different engine detail and rear wing. The Warsteiner livery also makes it stand out from previous releases.

SCALEXTRIC delivered two new cars. The VW Camper Van is called Atlantis and has suiatble undersea mythical graphics with a very 1960s feel. We also have another Kart, this time in a pseudo-Mercedes F1 livery.

CARRERA sent us a real treat - the first 1/32 scale Ford GT-E to reach the shops. This is one of the Le Mans 2016 team cars, with race # 68. We have to say its a fine looking model and will be a nice addition to the popular GT racing class. The other CARRERAcars are a Mustang Fastback in black with red stripes, and the BMW M1 Procar in works BMW colours. This car and the Ford GT-E are also mavailable as 1/24 Digital models.

We have been keeping our fingers tightly crossed for a couple of weeks now - waiting for the message that the THUNDERSLOT Lola T70 Spyder cars are being shipped. Unfortunately, now news about them yet. Other expected cars that could turn up include the SIDEWAYS Porsche 935 Roneo Vickers, the FLY BMW M1 Motul and BMW M3 E30 Bank, the TEAM SLOT Ford Escort RS2000 kit, the NSR Audi R8 LMS Ebrahimand the Abarth 500 Selenia. Others could surprise us and keep us busy all week.
We really are in a quiet time of the year - our European friends are about to vanish for August so we don't expect much news in the near future. Nothing like new car announcements anyway............
MANUFACTUERS PICTURE - NSR. This is the Porsche 997 RSR Matmut car that will be released soon. Quite eye-catching, but be careful if you race with lane stickers on the front of your car !

MANUFACTURERS PICTURE - FLY. The BMW M1 has always been a popular slot car because of the width, this is one of the widest cars you can race. The latest version due to be released very soon is in fact a rally car, this Motul livery was used on the Tour de Corse.
