Land Rover Defender 110 - 1:64 MGT000108-R 1989 Camel Trophy Winner Team UK - Bob & Joe Ives The Camel Trophy was a competitive international off-road event run over challenging terrain from 1980-2000. Apart from the first year when Jeeps were used, every other running used contemporary Land Rovers painted in the distinctive 'sandglow' paint scheme and fitted with a range of expedition, recovery and safety equipment. The 1989 event traversed the Amazon jungle and used Defender 110s as team and support vehicles, with the winning team Bob and Joe Ives from the UK.
