Western Province League Round 1 - Scale 24 Results
Round 1 of 6 for the Western Province League being held at Malmesbury has just finished with the Scale 24 class. We had in total 21 drivers which partook in the class and there was loads of entertainment to witness.
With no one really having any knowledge of the track it was a free for all with no particular favorite set to win.
In the A class it was neck and neck between Wahlied and Kieron throughout the entire race with the lead changing every few minutes. In the end Wahlied Fortune claimed the victory with Kieron Paterson taking 2nd place and Willie Taylor grabbing 3rd place.
In B class we had Deon Strydom drive away from the field with a little bit of a fight coming from Christo Nolte taking 2nd place and his wife Melinda Nolte hot on his heels taking 3rd position.
In the Junior Class we had 6 drivers all from Race World representing the youth of our hobby as well as the future. Troy Karner drove away and took with him 1st place continuing his results from last years Nationals and South African Slot Car Racing Grand Prix, Leo Karner was 2nd not far behind his brother and Keegan Sanderson took 3rd place to round off the podium.
