Desde el inicio del Dakar Rally tenemos un buen ritmo de carrera y íbamos 35 en la etapa cuando, a 130km de la meta, nos ha adelantado la rueda posterior izquierda a toda velocidad. Hemos roto dos espárragos y la pinza de freno se ha doblado. Hemos hecho un remiendo para poder montar la rueda y terminar la especial tranquilamente pero perdimos 2 horas. Gran trabajo de McGiver Alex, todo un crack! En el Dakar tienes que adaptarte constantemente para seguir adelante a pesar de todo. Vamos rumbo a Iquique, dónde tengo recuerdos de sufrir mucho en los últimos 30km, con una noche entera entre las dunas y una afición genial que nos ayudó en todo momento. Sabemos que estáis todos empujando y animando como nunca. Sois increíbles!
From the start of the Dakar we keep a good racing pace and we were 35th in the stage when, at 130km from the arrival,the back left wheel has overtaken us at full speed. We broke two studs and the brake caliper bended. We did a fix to be able to mount the wheel again and quietly finish the special but we lost 2 hours. Great work by McGiver Alex, he's the man! At the Dakar you have to adapt constantly to keep going regardless. We are heading to Iquique, where I remember suffering a lot in the last 30km, passing a whole night among dunes with fantastic fans helping us at all times. We know that you are pushing and cheering as never before. You are incredible!
