REINO UNIDO - NOVEDADES DESDE EL LUTON SLOT CAR CLUB

REINO UNIDO -Brushless technology finds its way, albeit, temporarily, to Manor Farm, and an exciting double one-two in Genesis and Production 24.

Most of us took the opportunity to drive the Brushless car, although we did catch Barry trying to put his Genesis body on it, and found it to run very quickly and smoothly round the circuit. I believe that Barry clocked a 5.22 lap with it, but I need this time verified by him.
It was also good to welcome Christian Stanciu for a second visit to the club for this newcomer.
Despite the missing personalities and some of our regular club hotshots, thirteen racers took to the LSCC track to try to provide some new faces for the winners photographs.
Marc Lyons took full advantage of the situation by sealing the Genesis win by just over one lap from Ray. Nick Thrower was a further lap behind Ray, after the two had battled closely during the final leg of their heat. It was good to see big improvements in the Genesis lap totals, most noticeably, David Hackforth and Matthew Bottoms
Ray had to play bridesmaid once more to Marc as a much closer P24 race saw him take a lead from Marc into the final leg, but being on Red lane made it difficult to hold off Marc who finished on the more favoured yellow lane. At the flag, Marc took the win by three quarters of a lap. Third was Barry Gilzean whose Hawk 9 powered Saloon was quick, but possibly not as easy to drive as the Hawk 7 Bentleys.
Club car racing next week, and who knows what results will be thrown up, then. For now, stay safe.
