AUSTRALIA- NUEVOS MODELOS DE BIANTE MODEL CARS 1/18 SANDMANS

Now that the beaches have reopened, it seems like the perfect time for Biante Model Cars to proudly announce the release of two Sandmans!

A73384 1:18 HOLDEN HQ SANDMAN PANEL VAN - BARBADOS GREEN

LIMITED EDITION OF 804 PIECES
DIECAST METAL WITH OPENING FEATURES

You would be hard pressed to find many Australians who have never heard of the Holden Sandman. From this original HQ version released in 1974 to the HX or HZ with the now iconic "Sandman" writing across the rear tailgate, the Sandman has always had a remarkable appeal to motoring enthusiasts.
The Sandman was originally conceived as a car which would appeal to the sun, surf and youth culture which was beginning to grip Australia during the period and in January 1974, the first HQ rolled off the line. Both the Panel Van and Ute would fill holes in the consumer market with the van coming equipped with GTS features like slotted front guards, Rally wheels, steering wheel, bucket seats, full instrumentation and Sandman decals and stripes. Some say the introduction of the Sandman spelt the beginning of the end of the Monaro, with many young men opting for the van instead, with its more practical attributes.
The 1:18 Scale HQ Sandman is another beautifully-produced model car and we’re extremely excited to releasing such an iconic Australian car, sure to be a popular addition to collections.

Each limited edition model comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity and will be available to purchase by clicking on the link in red above or from biante.com.au from 12:00 pm WST (2:00 pm AEST) tomorrow, Friday May 1st.

BR18601A 1:18 RED BULL RACING AUSTRALIA
PROJECT SANDMAN TRIBUTE EDITION

LIMITED EDITION OF 820 PIECES
SEALED BODY RESIN

2014 marked the 40th anniversary of Holden’s Sandman, so to mark the occasion, Holden-backed Supercars Championship team Triple Eight Race Engineering created the Project Sandman Tribute Edition, revealed on the eve of that year’s Gold Coast 600.

Triple Eight worked in conjunction with the GM Holden Design Department so on the outside it looked every bit the panel van it paid homage to - right down to a pair of carbon fibre surfboards on the roof! But beneath the bodywork lurked a real, pure-bred racing machine. Underpinning the Sandman exterior was one of Triple Eight’s former race cars; the same Holden Commodore VF that Jamie Whincup had raced to eight victories during the 2013 championship season!

The 5.0 L Supercar-spec engine was replaced by a 5.7 L one capable of over 700 hp with some fans lucky enough to have a ride in this car on their local track.

Each limited edition model comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity and will be available to purchase by clicking on the link in red above or from biante.com.au from 12:00 pm WST (2:00 pm AEST) tomorrow, Friday May 1st.
Limited quantities of both these items will be available to purchase online at biante.com.au from 12:00 pm WST (2:00 pm AEST), Friday, May 1st.
