Thunder Road Speedway opened it's doors Saturday on a sunny Northern California day for a little HO racing. Sixteen eager racers gathered to run four classes of magnet and non magnet cars. First up was the TFX class with lexan bodies for the first time. We normally run these with hard plastic bodies but wanted to see how they run with the lighter lexan bodies. They were considerably faster and easier to drive, making for a fun class. The racing was very close, but Jim Rose drove his shiny new Mustang to a win with Kenneth C. Stephens one back in second and Ted right behind in third.

SAN JOSE CALIFORNIA USA - RESULTS E IMAGENES OF TODAY SAN JOSE SPEEDWAY
For the second race we ran a set of TFX IROC cars prepared by Ken, using level 10 motor magnets and Dash 2 lam arms. The race also required the drivers to complete fuel stops every 20 laps, making things interesting. When the dust cleared, Kenji takes the win by one over Shaun Lee and a three way tie for third with Rapid Ronald Coaxum, Jim and Ted all finishing with the same lap totals.
After a lunch break, things got serious with two Viper classes, starting with Viper Jets at 12 volts. Rapid Ron got out front early and takes the win by one over Greg Kondrek and Bruce Douglas in third place.
The final and fastest class were the Viper level 4 cars, turning laps on the 80 foot road course from Brad Bowman in the low 4 second range and getting airborne on a regular basis, keeping the marshals busy. Ron showed his mastery of the track with another dominating win, with Shaun four back and Greg on the same lap in third place, about two feet ahead of Ted for the final podium spot. All in all, another great day of racing with great friends.
Thanks Ted Essy
