NOTICIAS DESDE EL TRIANGLE SLOT RACER

Mid-South Slotcar Racing Association

The fire will be lit on MSSRA's new season next month! But in the mean time, enjoy Triangle Slot Racers' special event

OK racers and race fans, it's been a very busy two weeks and I've finally found time to get to the keyboard. I will be as brief as possible, but here are the updates for the July 11th event.
1) As noted the GTP c-can race starts at 12:00. The doors will open at 9:00. The track will be prepped and ready for racing. All motors with armatures listed in the USRA rule book on page 45 for GTP are allowed: (wasp hornet, group 11, super 16c, super 16d). Wing height will not be teched. Ball bearing axle bearings are allowed in GTP. First place payout is a minimum of $200.00. As sponsors continue to come aboard this will continue to grow.
2) The Pro Series race will be held after the GTP challenge. Both Vintage and LMP will be ran. Standard payout and points awarded for both classes. Without any foreseen difficulties, the total event should end at it's usual time. I have tested the Pro Slot 4002 motor in a number of LMP set ups and found the motor runs a little cooler and maintain it's performance longer when using a ball bearing axle bearing. With this said, for motor longevity and better performance, and the fact that I'm viewing LMP a step above Vintage, I am allowing ball bearing axle bearings in the LMP class. The difference between "bushing" and "ball bearing" is very small, but every little bit helps if it means running a motor a little longer. I'm looking forward to seeing every one July 11th.
