BIANTE MODEL CARS DESDE AUSTRALIA PRESENTA MODELOS 1/43 FORD LE MANS 2018

January - Spark 1:43 Le Mans 2018 Ford GTs

Spark's first announcement of the year covers the four Ford GTs that competed at Le Mans 2018 in 1:43, including the #69 car co-driven by Aussie Ryan Briscoe and New Zealander Scott Dixon.

Once again two Ford entered two teams ot two cars in the LMGTE Pro class. The Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK saw Stefan Mücke, Olivier Pla and Billy Johnson in car #66 and in car #67 Harry Tincknell, Andy Priaulx and Tony Kanaan. The #66 car finished a creditable 6th in class (21st overall), but #67 missed out on 4th in class after being penalised 11 laps plus 1:23.499 due to Kanaan completing only 5 hours and 16 minutes of the six-hour minimum. The penalty was calculated based on the conversion of Kanaan’s missing 44 minutes to whole laps. This dropped them to 12th (36th overall).

Over at Ford Chip Ganassi Team USA, Joey Hand, Dirk Müller and Sébastien Bourdais took car #68 to 3rd in class (17th overall) which was a great effort. Car #69 saw Australian Ryan Briscoe and New Zealander Scott Dixon and Britain's Richard Westbrook team up once again. Unfortunately like Kanaan in car #67, Dixon didn't meet the minimum six driving hours requirement either and after the #69 car spent the final two hours of the race in the pits with an electrical issue, they were docked two laps but remained 14th in class and 39th overall.
