AUSTRALIA - LLEGAN LOS NUEVOS MODELOS DE BIANTE MODEL CARS

January - TSM-Model & MINI GT

TSM-Model's first announcement of the year ties in with the start of 2019 Nuremberg International Toy Fair and so expect to see a number of new models from different companies breaking cover on social media. Let's start with their burgeoning premium 1:64 diecast brand MINI GT:

There are four new items from MINI GT announced today. Although never officially sold in Australia, the A80 series Toyota Supra is well known here from its appearances in music videos, video games and films like The Fast and The Furious franchise, which should make their 1:64 versions highly sought after. The other new casting is the Pagani Huayra Roadster, almost unseen in this scale. Also coming are a recolour for the McLaren Senna (Onyx Black) and the ArtCar Manga version of the Honda Civic Type R as displayed at last October's Paris Motor Show.

Over at TSM, there's a nice selection of a dozen new 1:43s to bring to your attention. First up are two versions of the Ford GT that took first and second place in the GTLM class at the 2018 Daytona 24 Hour race. Car #67 saw Australian Ryan Briscoe, New Zealander Scott Dixon and Britain's Richard Westbrook prevail over the #66 car of Sébastien Bourdais, Joey Hand and Dirk Müller. As you can see, both of these racers are beautifully detailed pieces of the modeller's art, even in pre-production sample form.

There's also a couple of Shelby Cobras that competed in the 1964 World Sportscar Championship in their striking Viking Blue paintwork. The #3 car was driven by Bob Bondurant, who won the over 3 Litre class (and 9th outright) with this car at the Grand Prix de Spa 500 km race, while the #11 car raced at the Sebring 12 Hour with Dan Gurney and Bob Johnson, placing 10th outright after an accident.

There's also a couple of Bentley concept cars that point to the next releases from the marque - the Bentley EXP 10 Speed Six hybrid that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015 and the later, purely electric EXP 12 Speed 6e convertible that appeared in 2017. Production versions of these two seaters are expected to appear on the show circuit in the next year or so.

For Honda fans there are four examples of the NSX GT3 racer. Two are car show launch versions, while two are in racing livery. The #86 car of Segal / Negri in "Uncle Sam" livery from the 2017 Watkins Glen 6 Hour is easily the most eye-catching!

Finally for muscle car fans there's the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Convertible and a second colour for Aston Martin's new Vantage - Hyper Red. The Corvette uses a dry-sump version of the LT1 6.2 litre V8 producing 343 kW (460 hp), while the Vantage is the first Aston to use the Mercedes-AMG M177 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8, making 375 kW (503 bhp). But since you should never put two red cars next to each other, you'll have to scroll to the listings at the bottom of the page or click through to the website to see the Aston!
