GRAN BRETAÑA - NOS MUESTRA LAS NOVEDADES DE SLOT.IT EN EXPO NUREMBERG 2019

Nuremberg 2019 - Slot.It

The first item we saw on the SLOT.IT stand was the totally new Chaparral 2F. Spending some time discussing the car with Maurizio, he explained that although the real car had shared a chassis with previous Chaparrals the SLOT.IT version would have a new and unique chassis. The number of variations was also discussed, researching all the events the car had competed at, the minor differences, and the racing number identities. No sheduled release date yet, only a 3D printed prototype is available at the moment, but it should be ready within a year from now.

The next prototypes we saw are for the Jaguar XJR10 and XJR11 cars. These were proposed some time ago, but delayed slightly while concentrating on track production (see the POLICAR report). The Jaguars are very similar in outline, but with different engines and race regulations they are different cars. Racing in IMSA and also the FIA championships means there are several exterior detail changes, and within each category there are also high-downforce and low-downforce body styles. Familiar liveries from each major series will be reproduced, but don't forget that competing in the JSPC as well brought some alternative schemes. No plans on which will come first, but expect to see several releases based on the cars shown here.

Another prototype is the Maserati GT car, and this was on show with two different body styles. You can see how much width difference there is between the GT3 car and the Trofeo model, and the changes around the front especially. There will also be two chassis, a simple one suitable for set cars and a more usual design using motor pods and a lot of adjustment available.

On to cars going in to production, and we were delighted to see the second livery for the Mercedes 190E. Even though the first car hasn't been released yet, the second one will follow very soon after. It will be interesting to see if they will break the Calibra dominance in your DTM races, the dimensions suggest performance will fall somewhere around the later Alfa Romeo models, which can challenge the Calibra if well set up.

Pre-production decorated cars also included a new announcement for an Alfa Romeo 155 V6Ti in McDonalds livery, and another Matra MS670B sporting race # 12. Other available decorated cars have been seen before and some are due for release very soon, you will find them on the MRE website.
