Biante Model Cars are thrilled to announce a new partnership with Triple Eight Race Engineering to exclusively produce limited edition 1:12 Scale models of iconic cars raced by one of the most successful teams in Australian motorsport. The first model in this range is one that is sure to excite collectors, it’s the Red Bull Racing Australia Holden VF Commodore driven by Craig Lowndes and Steven Richards to win the 2015 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
General Manager of Biante Model Cars, Mr William Hall is excited about the new partnership; “It’s no secret that we have always wanted to produce model cars for Triple Eight because they’re simply one of the best. While this partnership is limited to only producing 1:12 Scale models, it will be a fantastic addition to our range and one that we feel collectors will be excited about. The 1:12 Scale model we have developed is such an awesome collector’s piece and to start off with a Craig Lowndes Bathurst Winner is just fantastic because we have dearly missed producing his models.”
One of the most popular drivers in Australian motorsport, Craig Lowndes is excited about the prospect of a large scale replica of his sixth Bathurst 1000 win; “The 2015 Bathurst win was the highlight of the year for me, so it’s very special to see the car replicated in such a beautiful way. Biante have done a fantastic job recreating it and I’m really excited that fans will be able to have this model at home and share the win with us.”
The 1:12 Scale replica of the 2015 Bathurst Winner is a really impressive size. It roughly measures over 40cm from front to rear, around 17 cm from mirror to mirror and around 12cm from wheel to roof. You can appreciate the large scale in the images of the 1:12 sitting next to one of our recently announced 1:18 Scale Holden VFII Commodore SS-V Redline models (pictured below). |
