Reigning SA Champion Louise Petzer won the PEMRCC round in 2022. She was in devastating form; having taken the lead at the start, she dropped a lap during the third segment, when a braid caught on the track and came out. Following the incident, Louise smashed the lap record lap after lap to take the victory by 4-laps.
PEMRCC stalwart, Colin Lotz, the current SAMCA Chairman, started racing at the Aberaz club in Port Elizabeth in 1966.
The current PEMRCC 6-lane track was built in 2006. Note the similarity in design to the original 4-lane track. Picture taken when the club was located in Holden Road.
